Its happening in the Malayalam film industry finally. The first full length animation film will be releasing in the theaters soon. The new project which was just kicked-off on 07 November by the City-based production house Increation, in association with Sai Raksha Entertainment and India tales, will feature the story of Lord Ayyappa in 90 minutes.
Titled ‘Manikkantan’ the plot will be narrated as seen through the eyes of a little girl and her pet parrot. The animation film will be directed by Reji Syane, an award winning producer from the mini screen. The US-based producer of the film, Nalin Singh is planning to spend more than $1 million on the production of the movie, which will hit the screens in a year’s time.
Maestro Ilayaraja is the music director of Manikkantan on all the five songs for the film. If Ilayaraja music directs this animation film, it will be his second animation film. Earlier he did music direction for Inime Nangadhan.
The big names in the Malayalam film like Suresh Gopi, Thilakan, Siddique, Sukumari and others, will lend their voices for the characters in the movie.
